The CaR® Solution

Optcapital developed the Cascade Rights®(CaR®) Program to address the major challenges that Law Firms face. A CaR® is not a structured fee with a fixed rate of return and rigid payment schedule. Instead, the Program enables Law Firms to invest fees on a pre-tax, tax-deferred basis, while retaining control over investment returns and the timing of receipt of funds and income recognition. By deferring fees under the Program, Lawyers can:

  • Defer taxes on contingency fees
  • Choose how their pre-tax dollars are invested
  • Manage timing of income and taxation through quarterly withdrawal rights
  • Enhance wealth accumulation & create more capital to invest in cases, for philanthropy or for personal use, while retaining asset bankability
